Garlic Seitan Sausage with Fresh Bread
Ingredients
- 'Classic' seitan sausage
- Garlic
- Olive oil
- Fresh bread or rolls
- Czech mustard
- Fresh thyme
- Pickles (pickled cucumbers)
- Cherry tomatoes
Preparation
Step 1
Thinly slice the garlic. Heat the olive oil in a pan and sauté the garlic over low heat until golden brown.
Step
Slice the seitan sausage diagonally into pieces about 1 cm thick.
Step
Add the seitan slices to the pan with the garlic oil and fry on both sides until golden, about 3–4 minutes per side. Toss in the thyme leaves.
Step
Halve the cherry tomatoes, add them to the pan, and sauté them briefly.
Step
Slice and lightly toast the fresh bread. Serve with the sautéed seitan, the garlic-infused oil, pickles, and mustard.
